The Sheriff 's Office said the deputies found a woman with a cut to her head .
The woman was holding a baby , who also appeared to have been injured .
The deputies attempted to arrest Flores , who , the Sheriff 's Office said , was armed , but he resisted .
The deputies attempted to use non - lethal weapons to detain Flores , officials said , but were unsuccessful .
The deputies then fired the fatal shots .
Flores died a short time later .
Two separate video recordings of the shooting were made by witnesses and are being reviewed by investigators from the Sheriff ’s Office and the District Attorney ’s office .
Flores was flown to an area hospital where he died later .
